Texas Snow!

(Ryann was not a fan...)

Our first snow (and let's be honest, probably only) this year, and it was a good one!

BUT, I was wrong! Two days later, even more snow fell! We got about 5 inches, which really is unheard of for us.

Eli, I found, was a huge fan of throwing snowballs. As I was building our snowman, at least 3 slid down my back! It brought back fond childhood memories.

Ryann finally got a bit used to it and ventured out.

Valentine's Day 2008

Eli was sick on Valentine's Day (surprise), so he missed his school party. We did our best with a little party at home! Candy.... pure evil.

Ryann went to school with a pretty clippy in her hair. We'll see if that lasts all day!

Probably not!

Here's our little fashion plate. A couple of dinsaur gloves, daddy's black socks and Spiderman underwear over her diapers... perfect for a Saturday night.

The difference between boys and girls. Ryann wants to dress up and play with babies. Eli wants to scale the walls.

We decided to have a little fashion show with the dress that Jeannie and Chuck bought Ryann when she was born. It fits perfectly! It's amazing how long it seemed that it would take for her to wear it, but in the blink of an eye, she's already big enough.

Oh no, she's already on-line shopping! Lord, help us all! Maybe she's looking for a job???

Here are Ryann and Sally having a snack. It looks to me like Ryann is doing most of the eating.

January was a month full of surprise visitors. I have to say that Spiderman was the best. He made his bed everyday, and caught his own food (I know, that was pretty lame).

We had a great Star Wars moment.... just a moment. Obviously, Ryann's not too keen on Chewbacca.

Christmas 2007

I know, I know... I'm way behind the ball on my postings. So, for all of you who have been patiently waiting (NiNi), here are some pics of the last couple of months beginning with Christmas!

It was great watching Vaugh and Ryann interact, as they're only 3 days apart and all. They both spoke a very general Japanese/French/German dilect and seemed to understand each other easily. I'm sure in this picture Ryann was showing Vaughn how to use one of his toys, or telling him "No" just because!

We had a great Christmas with the whole Lujan Clan at the Dallas Lu's humble abode. On Christmas Eve, the Crome and Wade family came over also. Talk about a full house! We almost fit everyone at our dining room table. Vaughn, although tempted to give a toast, chose not to sit at the head of the table.

I think the Jersey Lu's got a better shot of this, but it's a family shot anyhow.

Ah yes, the dream of getting 2 toddlers and a pre-schooler to sit on laps after 6 rounds of photos.

Here, Zoie is teaching her little 'cuz all about Rubber Duckies who wear sunglasses and carry a surf board. I'm not sure Ryann is buying it, but she seems pretty interested.

Eli had a "blast" (no pun intended) when he transformed into an astronaut on Christmas Day.

After much much oxygen loss on Daddy's part, the space shuttle was ready to go!
